Brenda R. Schmidt MSN, RN
I am a Long-Term Care Nurse Consultant and have over 30 years’ experience in the long-term care arena. I have served as a Director of Nursing in both Iowa and Nebraska. I received my MSN in nursing education from Capella University and am currently enrolled in the DNP program at Capella. My academic and professional specialties are in Nursing Education and Long-Term Care. I assist SNF/ICF facilities in achieving state and federal compliance and serve as an adjunct team member to those facilities. I have assisted and supported over 70 facilities throughout Iowa. I am a member of the ANA, AANAC, AADNS, APIC, AHCA, hold a seat on the IHCA Education Committee and am a Certified Infection Preventionist.
